HISTORY
For over 50 years, Outdoor Galore has been a part of the Bakersfield community. Dan Morgan opened the original store on Bernard Street in the 1950s. Over the years, it moved to Ming Avenue, was purchased by the Sites brothers, was sold to Vaughn (Butch) Wiggins in 1993, and in 2003, the store was relocated to its present location at 6801 White Lane. During this time, The Patio Shoppe became the recognized leader in patio furniture; and with the development of The Christmas Shoppe at The Patio Shoppe, it also became a destination for local and visiting families alike.

In 2006, Timothy S. Clark, founder and President of Kern Special Services (KSS), a restoration and remodel business with 20 years in Kern County, began the process of redesigning his own backyard. He envisioned a one-of-a-kind outdoor living area for his family but found it difficult to find everything he needed in Kern County. The project ultimately sparked an idea for a retail business that would ultimately become Outdoor Galore. In August of 2011, the Wiggins family found it necessary to close The Patio Shoppe and Timothy and the Clark family decided to purchase it, setting in motion his vision for a one-stop-shop for everything outdoor.
In early 2012, Mr. Clark gathered a team of retail, merchandising and construction experts to devise an improved approach to the traditional patio furniture business with an incorporated design and construction component and an expanded and diversified product inventory.
Using core values such as; a commitment to be innovative and creative, to lead by being the best, providing exceptional customer service, and giving back to the community, the team developed a foundation for what would become The Outdoor Galore.
